The string quartet is so versatile, that we can play just about any musical style from early classics to romantic tunes, waltzes, tangos, latin, and popular melodies. The music available for string quartet far outweighs the amount available for string trio. The string quartet has a richer sound than a string trio because the extra instrument adds an extra harmonic line. It is also louder than a trio because there is one extra musician playing. We recommend a string quartet if you have a very large wedding, or for receptions, or if you just want the extra beauty that the quartet offers.
